24 Hours in Gatlinburg

The day after Christmas the rest of the family left for Gatlinburg. We had originally planned to stay in Birmingham given that I had to go back to work in two days. However, I hated to have family so close yet not get to see them ... so we loaded up the car for a last-minute trip! Even though our time in Gatlinburg was short, we had a great time seeing everyone.

Although we wish we could have stayed longer, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and are so glad we made the trip!

Christmas 2012

Christmas this year was really fun with an almost 18 month old! Charlotte loved unwrapping presents and playing with all of her new toys (speaking of which, I am not sure our house is big enough to hold all of her new belongings!). We celebrated Christmas Eve with Brandon's family and Christmas Day with mine. How lucky we are to have both families in the same city!

Our only pictures from the mall this year ... someone wanted no part of pictures with the mall Santa! She enjoyed the candy cane though ...

Charlotte loved sitting on the boxes around our tree this year. The tree looked pitiful surrounded by brown Amazon boxes, but there was no point in wrapping them early with a curious toddler around!
