Charlotte's First Birthday Party

We had the best time celebrating Charlotte's birthday on July 3rd with good friends and family.  She is very blessed to have so many wonderful people who care about her in her life.  Charlotte did really well considering the party didn't even start until 5:30.  We had very little crying and a lot of laughing and smiling.  She even gave people wonderful reactions to the presents they had given her!
I had wanted to take a cute picture of her in her crib waking up on her birthday; however, given that she wakes up screaming every morning, I decided to forego the crib picture and start with a picture of her birthday breakfast.
Eating a birthday pancake!

Greek yogurt ... her favorite!
With the birthday girl before I had to leave for work
Ready for a party!

As soon as guests started to arrive, Charlotte began tearing into presents
A new "touch and feel" book ... I am happy about this!  I have read Tickle, Tickle Peter Rabbit one too many times
Corinne showing Charlotte how to use her new cell phone
Opening a present from Grandpa

Wow!  I thought these only existed at daycare!

Charlotte helping Piyanka with her dinner ... a one-year-old who will eat anything is worse than a dog in terms of snatching food off of a plate!

Singing happy birthday to Charlotte!
Needed a little help to figure out what to do with the cake ...

Finally feeding herself some cake
But feeding Daddy is much more fun!
A mango lassi for the birthday girl!

Thoroughly enjoying herself ...
Brutus assuming his position under the highchair

Opening Baby Stella (this present I did remember to put in the box before wrapping it, unlike the clothes I got her from Gap ... thankfully the birthday girl just enjoyed unwrapping the present and didn't care that the box was empty!)
Baby Stella in her beautiful carriage from Grandma and Grandpa
